Intel i7-7700K Overclock Feedback

Hi, I just overclocked my new i7-7700K to 4.8 GHz at 1.225V and would like some feedback on results and temps as I know there's some controversy around this chip.

Case: Corsair Carbide Series 200R Mid tower (2 chasis fans)
CPU cooler: Noctua NH-D15S (with second additional fan)
Motherboard: ASUS PRIME Z270-A

I ran AIDA64 for 3 hours 15 minutes, with an ambient temp of 24-25 degrees Celsius. Do these results look okay? Are people getting similar or better?

Hope you can help, cheers.

  1. Whaa!?! your load temps is 25C? That is not right at all. But anyways besides your werid temps 4.8ghz @ 1.25v is really good. Most chips need 1.35v for 5Ghz.

though been a long time since i used an air cooler

but the 7700k does run quite warm

Some further testing (with standard fan mode):

    Overwatch 66-72 °C
    BF1 69-75 °C
    Cinebench 1064 (almost 100 increase)
    OpenGL 168.16 fps

Think everything is safe and stable. Pretty sure you can run this card into the 80's safely anyway. Cheers.
