120gb ssd with windows 10 pre installed wont boot

I have a 120gb sandisk ssd plus that i installed windows 10 onto from my desk top. my goal is to get it to boot in my inspiron 5749 laptop. when i swap out the hdd for the new ssd in my laptop i get the "no bootable devices" page. i can find the ssd in the bios under "file browser add boot option" but nothing in the bios seems to fix it. i heard some laptops wont boot without 250gb but i dont really now what could be wrong. any help would really be appreciated
