My USB is recognized in the devices section but wont let me view any files.

Im using windows 10 but this is a problem with my USB as this is a similar case with other computers using other versions of windows.

More about usb recognized devices section wont view files
  1. The USB drive is not readable by any other computer - correct?

What error code or other window/message appears when you try open/view a file?

What was the source of the file? Maybe they did not copy correctly? What software was used?

By "devices section" do you mean Device Manager? Try Disk Management instead.

Need to learn more about the current formatting and partioning of the USB drive. What make and model?

  4. Look at the USB drive via Disk Manager.

What does Disk Manager tell you about the drive?
