can the FX 8320 utilize 2400mhz DDR3 RAM?

ok so basically i am making a second PC for when my friends come over for LAN parties. but i was wondering if my FX 8320 and ASUS Sabertooth 990FX R2 can utilize all 2400MHz of my HyperX Savage RAM. is it possible?

    No, the maximum DDR3 RAM frequency that board supports is 1866MHz.
    Don't worry though, it'll still be perfectly fine for use at 1866.

    Do other AM3+ motherboards support higher than 1866? And why is there an option to go higher than 1866 in the bios?

  3. It's possible, but considered overclocking, not guaranteed to work. Generally you can get it to work if you push enough CPU-NB voltage and DRAM voltage. Good luck.
