MSI Afterburner doesnt apply overclock

I downloaded MSI burner a couple of hours ago and it worked perfectly fine . I did some test to see if it was working like lowering my memory and core clock and then putting it back to normal and when i was lowering the memory and core clock i had lower fps . Then i tried to up memory and core clock by little and i had slightly better fps . When i tried to maximize my card my screen went crazy and after 2-3 minutes it reset it's self cus of course it couldn't handle it . Then i used MSI kombustor to oc my CPU but it overheated so i turned off my pc for my CPU to cool down . When i oponed back my computer and tried to use MSI afterburner again it didn't work , I can't up or lower my memory and core clock , it jut doesn't apply . The memory and core clock stay at the same rate (Mem. clock at 100Mhz and GPU clock at 207 Mhz my GPU btw it's an old Quadro FX 1700 :\ )Any ideas ?

  1. Considering what you just said it sounds like you might not want to touch overclocking, lest you burn everything to the ground.

NEVER. EVER. Max out OC sliders. You're asking for trouble. Always increment little by little, test stability, rinse and repeat. The same applies for the CPU, especially if you do not have decent cooler on it, causing it to overheat.

Also, the GPU doesn't run at full speed constantly. You can change the clocks but unless it's actually working on something heavy, it's not gonna push the pedal to the metal. Give it a run in Furmark, play with your OC little by little, step it down a notch when shit goes awry in any way. Keep an eye on the temps at all times.

Well , is a stated before the program worked before , also my GPU is now locked to the lowest settings and when i run games that i had around 60-70 fps now i have around 30 . 4 example in cs:go i had min fps 30 and max 100+ , now i have min fps 5 and max 25-30 . And now even if i change the sliders in MSI ab nothings changes
