Which CPU Should I get (R5 1600x VS I5 7600K VS I7 6700K)

Hey guys it's my first time posting here! (Sorry if it's in the wrong place)

I wanted to get some opinions for a build I am doing very soon. I need a build for university that can give me good FPS and good work speeds for using programs such as 3DS MAX, Maya, UE4

So the question I ask to you is which one to get. I live in the UK so the prices to the CPU's will be left down below aswell as my intended specs for the future build. Cheers guys!

Ryzen R5 1600X (

I5 7600K (

I7 6700K (

(Note: Please keep in mind I am a uni student so I would love to save money where I can however I still want the best PC for my money!)

Future Specs:

Case: Corsair Carbide Spec 02
Mobo: N/A
CPU Cooler: Hyper 212X
GPU: Gigabyte G1 Gamine GTX 1070
RAM: Corsair Vengence LPX DDR4 2400MHZ 16GB

  1. Don't get that PSU , it's low quality , for EVGA you want GS , G2 or G3 power supplies.

  2. I would go with the R5 1600x and 16Gb of 3200 speed RAM. Get the fastest you can afford that is compatible with your motherboard. G.Skill's Flare X and Trident Z seem to be the most likely to work out of box.

1600@$219 comes with a cooler capable of overclocking to 3.7GHz. 1700@$319 comes with a cooler capable of overclocking to 3.7GHz. $29 EVO 212 will allow 3.9-4.1GHz overclocking with Ryzen. Multi-thread performance crushes Intel at these price points, and provides a great gaming experience. Intel's higher FPS will be mostly academic on 60HZ monitors. ASRock X370 Taichi is probably the best when it comes to CPU and RAM overclocking. ASRock having the least bad comments as a whole, and you could save money on B350 boards. Asus crosshair vi hero also compatible with 3200MHz RAM. G.SKILL Flare X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200 is the best RAM that is compatible with Ryzen atm.
