  1. Any time you change the motherboard you SHOULD do a fresh OS install. The Windows registry has remnants of the old hardware config. That confuses the OS. Do a fresh OS install.

Does this mean I have to remove my xp and replace it with windows 7 if so not liking that?
  4. Asus doesn't even have drivers for Windows 7 for that motherboard. You would have to do a clean XP install... I don't know if you can still download the XP service packs or not...

Try Amazon for an XP CD and Product Key, but only buy if it's supplied by Amazon themselves, not a third-party (otherwise you could end up with a fake/blocked/blacklisted Product Key which will fail activation).

Having said that, you should really get a motherboard that supports Windows 7 or later, XP is ancient, clunky, and lacking in many useful features.
  7. the p5k is a socket 775 https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P5K/ and the p4b is a socket 478 https://www.cnet.com/products/asus-p4b-m-motherboard-micro-atx-socket-478-i845/specs/ did you made cpu change also and both does not support over xp . if you have a win 7 os your better build a new system if this never been use a oem .
