What motherboard should I use for Intel CPU and AMD GPU?

I am currently researching requirements for the PC I'm building. I have chosen Intel for my CPU and AMD for my GPU. There is one problem: I don't know what motherboard I should use for that combination. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

  1. There's nothing special about using an AMD GPU with an Intel CPU instead of an Nvidia GPU with an Intel CPU. The relevant information is your budget, your use, your necessary features, and the like. Lacking all the necessary information, it's difficult to give even a very general recommendation.
  2. Well, for my budget, I will not get anything over $100, and as for the like, I want to use this PC for gaming mainly.
  3. What Intel CPU?

If you want a 7th generation (socket 1151) Intel CPU, you'll want a B250 chipset-based board. These start around $65-70. The H270 and Z270 chipsets can be slightly more feature-rich but also cost more.

The CPU that I'm aiming to use is the
Intel Core i5-7600 Kaby Lake Quad-Core 3.5 GHz LGA 1151 65W BX80677I57600 Desktop Processor. I assume that that will work with the B250 chipset-based board. But will that be compatible with my AMD video card? Or does the GPU not have anything to do with the CPU or motherboard?

Go to pcpartpicker.com. It's very easy to put together your when build there, it'll have compatability flags and multiple choices for components and vendors. Yes the vendors are trusted, or they'd not be used.
Once you have a workable build, use BBcode ([BB]) and cut/paste here for review/opinion.
