PC crashing in games. I think the issue is hardware related and i want insight into which part may need replacement

PC crashes after a random amount of time in games usually between 5 minutes to an hour. After the system crashes it can take multiple restarts to boot to windows. The failed attempts to boot end on a black screen with a white line and a few coloured dots. insight into which computer component is causing this problem would be appreciated.
GPU: EVGA 980
CPU: i7 3770
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3
Mobo: Asus P8-Z77-VLK
PSU: 650W Corsair VS650
I also have a 4 year old 1tb harddrive for storage and a 3yr old 128gb SSD which I have windows installed on.
This is what the screen looks like after failed restart attempts

Paladin would you recommend any power supplies in particular? i am leaning towards an EVGA G2 650w or a Corsair RM650i.
  3. both choices are very good !
