  2. Alright? what about it ? They make straps you can attach to card then to top of you case to support the weight. I had that same car it was pretty damn big and heavy. if i remember they included said wire

What are you talking about? I have never heard of GPU manufacturers doing this, ever.
  4. I have the 1080, I had to get a brace because of the sag. They say its okay and the only risk is damaging the PCB but the backplate should prevent that....

Whatever.... I'm not taking chances with something that cost me $600, I have an Atlas Graphics Card Brace. It works great and doesn't require a stick to be placed in the chassis to support it that way. You can screw it in the the slots on the chassis and support it that way. It's not perfect and you really need to instal it with the GPU vertical and the MB flat (PC on its side), for it to really work, but it works and it doesn't interfere with the aesthetics in any way. But you can't really use it in SLI, just won't work with two cards.

And there are also the stick style GPU braces. MSI makes one if you don't mind the red accents and the stick that goes all the way up to the top of the case. Cooler Master makes one that is magnetic and doesn't go all the way up but I have yet to try it since I only got it since I thought I may use SLI, with the 1080 Ti coming out I doubt that will ever happen.

Anyways, I would highly recommend one.

I have a triple fan 1080 in my system right now and it is not being held up with a brace. I didn't even know such a product existed until recently.
  6. Yah it first heard about them when i put a danger den water block on my 580 gtx, they included one with the water block. It was extremely heavy easily started bending on it's own till i set it up correctly. Zotac should be fine though, Even though it was heavy didn't seem like it would cause any damage to the board or card its self. I only had it for a week till i returned it since it had micron ram and i wanted the MSI EK X 1070 with Ek water block instead that had samsung memory.

Well obviously yours isn't nearly as heavy as an AMP! Extreme. Mine sags about 1/2"-3/4" The AE is both longer and heavy than most cards, even other 3-fan cards. It's nearly a full inch longer than an Asus ROG Strix, and is heavier as well.

Water blocks shouldn't cause bending if you install it correctly. And it can be especially a danger if all the screws aren't secured.

It wasnt immediate it was over time, i didnt have a back plate either. At this time this was when the Block was full copper which it weighs much more then the plastic and nickle version these days. I'll try to find a pic, everything was installed to spec as well. you could see the curve in the card after a year from it. Didn't effect it in any way just crazy how it caused that.
