Help me choose between AMD motherboards!

Ok first off sticking to am3+ because I have to.

Choice #1 - ASUS Crosshair V Formula‑Z ROG. If I can find a good deal on that I'll get it, but THESE 3 I can't decide!!

Gigabyte GA‑990FXA‑UD3 Ultra (r4.0)

ASUS m5a99fx pro r2.0

Asus Sabertooth 990fx r2.0

GPU - RX 480 8gb

CPU - fx-8320 WILL upgrade to 9590

RAM - G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 2133 16GB

Case, PSU, ssd, hdd, cooler, everythingis good. Will be used for browsing, streaming, and most importantly gaming. I want to make sure I'm not overlooking something very important or something completely obvious between the 3. Will love hearing the reasons and debates. Thanks ahead of time guys!

The Crosshair and Sabertooth are the best of those, followed by the Gigabyte then the M5A99FX.

Do you own the FX-8320? I am assuming thats why you are sticking to AM3+, because there is no other reason. If you don't own this stuff cut your losses and buy something else.

DO NOT buy the 9590. You can get 95%or more of its performance from your CPU being overclocked properly. Its a piece of crap CPU and a waste of money.
  2. You really should consider going with Ryzen instead of wasting money on AM3. If you can't afford the R7, the R5-1400X will drop the Ryzen entry ticket price down to $180 and handle most games far better than any FX-series CPU ever could.

    I'm pretty sure they haven't announced a 1400X. There's the 1400 at $170, and the 1500X at $190. : P

But yeah, I really think waiting for Ryzen 5 series might be worthwhile, especially since it launches within the next few weeks. There will also be the lower-end Ryzen 3 cpus launching later on. If you're looking to upgrade in the future, an AM4 motherboard will most likely still be getting new processors released for it a few years from now, while AM3+ is kind of at the end of its line.

AM3+ has been "end of its line" for many years already with no meaningful new CPU or chipset in the past four years. All of AMD's newer stuff until AM4 was APUs on FM2.
  5. Yes I have the cpu and it's practically brand new. I also have brand new ram. I'll be good for a long time with just the new motherboard and 8gb gpu instead of getting all brand new am4 stuff. I'll take the advice not to get the fx-9590. Thanks for your help!
