PC Performs worse when overclocked by MSI Gaming APP

Whenever I enable gaming mode in the MSI Gaming app, my CPU (6600K) and GPU (GTX 1060 Gaming X 6G) perform worse (tested in cinebench) the CPU Score drops by 30% and the GPU FPS droppes from +/- 130 FPS to +/- 90 fps. Any solutions for this?

Get rid of the app. Always overclock via the BIOS.

What motherboard, CPU cooler and power supply are you using?

Holy cow! They really overdid on the VRMs on that board. Shouldn't have any issues at all delivering steady power to the CPU with that many VRMs.

CPU cooler is enough for your current CPU.

Your PSU is not on my list of recommendations, but it's still good quality and I don't think it's what's holding you back.

Uninstall the gaming app, try your overclock in BIOS.
