New GTX 1070 really bad fps drops in Battlefield 1

I just got a new Zotac GTX 1070 Amp Extreme. Installed the card and updated all drivers through the geforce experience and now I am experiencing really bad fps drops and stuttering. Its to the point its almost impossible to play. I'm only playing at 1080p 60hz. I'm playing Battlefield 1. Does anyone have any suggestions, anything will be greatly appreciated!

First I would do a clean install of drivers to make sure there is nothing astray there-basically use DDU, uninstall the old drivers, reboot and get the latest ones. Afterwards I would use something like MSI afterburner to monitor CPU+GPU usage and temps. Also I would recommend that you use dx11 rather than dx12 on BF1-for me personally dx12 was performing terribly on my i5 4690 & r9 390 with CPU usage being stuck close to 100% at all times and causing the game to stutter like crazy.
