  1. Enter your payment information at NewEgg? :)

That, and make sure you do a complete fresh install of your OS with the new system.

I was reading threads and most of them said you can change mobo without fresh install plus i have a installation DVD that will work right ?
  3. You can try .. but it'll probably crash on you sooner or later. if you dont do a clean install

When i bought this pc it came with a reinstallion dvd ( windows 8.1 ) i have the product key can i use this dvd to install windows ?
  5. It may install but activating it maybe another matter
  6. Also notice the little disclaimer at the end that says Newegg isn't responsible for compatibility? That H110 board will probably need a bios update to use that 7500.
  7. +1^. And you wont be able to update the BIOS because it wont post

Unless you ask Newegg if they can update the BIOS before they send it

If you want a Kaby Lake buy a B250/Z270 mobo. Altho, some of these mobos need a BIOS update too

    To support a Kaby Lake

i will make sure to ask them for that but hey man if i buy this one will i have the bios problem too ? https://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboBundleDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.3272006
  9. Any H110 WILL need an update to support a Skylake CPU. So either buy a B250 mobo or a Z270 mobo

It may support it out of the box
  10. This is a good point, but my past experience with NewEgg on combos like this is that they ship with a compatible BIOS for the CPU in the package (still doesn't hurt to place order over the phone to ensure though).

As for the OS, you will need to do a clean fresh install. It may appear to 'work', but trust me, insidious problems will keep cropping up until you do a clean install (and stable gaming is right out the window without it).

And from Microsoft's point of view, if it's a new motherboard, it requires a new Windows license anyway.

So if i talk with them will they update the Bios for me ? plus man that means i have to buy a new windows ? i cant use my old one

It may not need updating if it is a board that has a BIOS loaded on it already that includes Kaby Lake support, but if you ask, they should ensure it's compatible (again, I've never had that not be the case in a packaged deal).

And if Windows did come with the PC you had before as a package deal (ie- you did not buy a retail version of Windows), then yes, you will need to buy a new license. Do note though that you can install Win10 and use for 30 days before you activate it (say if you need a bit more time to accommodate that new expense). It is worth it though.....a clean, fresh install all but eliminates all the new platform headaches most people have with trying to make due with an old drive with an old instance of Windows original installed with a different hardware configuration.
  13. Yeah I don't know if they will update the bios for you because I've never had that problem but I just wanted to let you know so you could be prepared.
