Need help to connect cable to power supply and motherboard

I have a msi am1i mobo and roswell rd700-m power supply. Need help to connect. The MOBO 12v has only 1 4 pin plug and the power supply ha2 4 pin. cannot bring up

  1. Only use one. Just put the other one somewhere out of the way.

    Some boards need the extra power and would have a second connector, but your board doesn't, so you have an extra connector.

    Just break the 4+4 pin apart - it is two separate 4 pins clicked together.

    Then just use one of the 4 pins connectors, and put the other to the side.

  4. I think the MSI am1i mobo has an AMI BIOS.

    3 beeps - Base 64K memory failure - bad memory

    Reduce it to one stick and install it in the second slot.
    Most mobos require you to stagger ram, with slots 2 and 4 being the first used. You can confirm all of this info by referencing your motherboard manual.

    Try each stick in each slot, never having more than one stick installed at a time.
