New GPU for an old CPU. GTX 1050ti vs GTX 1060 3gb on AMD Phenom II 955.

Hello friends!
My rig is:
AMD Phenom II X4 955 3,2 Ghz
Motherboard GA-MA770T-UD3
GTX 560ti 1GB
8GB RAM
600W

Recently my old GPU has started to dying, so I desided to upgrade it to the newest one. Choice is between MSI GTX 1050ti 4GB (OC model) or MSI GTX 1060 3GB (OC model).
Should I overpay for 1060, or stick with 1050ti? My CPU will handle 1060?

I know about bottleneck, pci-e 3.0 and other stuff, but now I have limited budget and cant upgrade the whole system.
Any suggestions will be appreciated!

The 1050Ti has about 66% of the resources of the 1060 and performs as such. It does have the extra 1GB of VRAM though.

Uh, if you're paying around $150 for a 1050Ti, an AMD RADEON RX 470 might be close to that price and be a really good choice for price : performance

It is true that the Phenom II X4 955 will bottleneck the RX480/GTX 1060 (I have a Phenom II X4 955 with an RX480) but for most games the performance improvement from using the faster GPU will be evident and the Bottleneck won't be that big of an issue. Although upgrading later on is a must for any future upgrades. But in the price range you are at I would like Justiceinacan suggest you get an RX470 over the GTX1060 3GB and GTX1050Ti as it is a 4GB chip and is between the two in price. offering much better performance than the GTX1050Ti and competitive performance to that of the GTX1060 3GB (sometimes above/sometimes below)
