Dear Sirs
My niece brought me his dead PC, when it is powered on, only CPU works and nothing else. My niece PC was working, then it shuts down suddenly.

PC specifications:
I- Motherboard model GA-Z77X-D3H (rev. 1.1)
II- Graphic card Gigabyte/NVIDIA GTX model (GV-N760OC-2GD)
III- Intel core i5-3570K, LGA1155 CPU Socket
IV- Memory brand: Kingston. Memory part number: BPMM0831410
V- Power supply Smart SE 730 W
VI- CPU cooler (Cooler Master)

Problem description
1- Mother board has a built in VGA, and three PCIe slots
2- When the machine is turned on nothing happens, only CPU FAN starts, but the screen stays black
3- The PC even does not peep once as usual
4- In this case the monitor is connected to Gigabyte/NVIDIA GTX which is installed to 16X slot
5- I disconnected everything from mother board, that is to say I removed HDD’s and DVD, .. etc. but I left VGA installed
6- Then I disconnected the monitor and connected it to the built in VGA
7- The same problem occurred again
8- Then I removed VGA card from the machine
The monitor still connected to the built in VGA, then powered PC
9- The PC booted up successfully of course without operating system because I removed HDD.
10- When I returned VGA card the problem persisted again
11- Then I took VGA card and power supply and tested them on another PC
The second PC booted up successfully. So VGA and Power supply should be OK
12- I thought that may BIOS was corrupted, so I downloaded latest version available Gigabyte site (_bios_ga-z77x-d3h_f18i) and installed it.
13- I loaded CMOS defaults and booted with built in VGA, and the machine booted successfully.
14- However, when I returned VGA card the problem occurred again
The machine can not be turned on when VGA card is installed, and it can be turned on only when VGA card is removed and monitor is connected to built in VGA.
15- Then I took VGA card and power supply and tested them on another PC. The second PC booted up successfully. So VGA and Power supply are OK
On other PC, I installed Windows 8 x64 and a hard game to test VGA.
VGA was found working perfectly
16- I also tested VGA card on another slot and same problem occurred.
17- Then I got another VGA and installed it in my mother board, but the system did not boot up.
It worth saying that originally there were two HDD
I found the one of operating system is dead and not detected on any PC, the second HDD is good and shows no problem.

I will appreciate very much if you advised me how to solve this problem. Is it a CMOS setting or defective mother board?
Best regards

Solution
Hello... 1) Yes... try a CMOS setting... Typically you have to change a BIO's setting to enable an "Ext PCIe Video card ONLY" OR "BOTH" (CPUGPU and EXT PCIe) (save&exit)... you need to "Manually" tell the BIO's how you want to use this MB for Display. B )

*Also you must plug the monitor into the Video card for Display from it... B /

2) Get a magnifying glass and look at the Video Card slots for any bent/burned/mis-aligned pins in it.

Dear Ironsounds
You were absolutely right
In CMOS, Peripherals
Changed Init Display First from Auto to PCI
Changed Internal Graphics from Auto to Disabled
Saved and shut down, installed my PCIe card and powered on PC
The system worked fine
Thank you very much for your support, I really appreciate it.
Best regards
