I want to overclock my Intel Pentium Dual Core E2180

Hi everyone! I have an old CPU, clocked at 2.0GHz. I want to give it some boost, around 2.7GHz. My motherboard is a MSI G41M P33 Combo.
Can I reach 2.7GHz? I have a EVGA 500W power supply (with 80+ Bronze Ceritified) along with 2GB RAM DDR2 800MHz. Also I've seen that in BIOS all settings are set to "auto". When I tried to change the CPU Base Frequency, the DRAM Frequency changed too.
I would really appreciate if someone can explain me how to overclock this CPU.

    Have you read a guide on Core 2 overclocking? I would start there.

    Besides that, you will run into a FSB wall somewhere around 290-340 MHz FSB, it'S a chipset limitation which can be pushed a bit further out by increasing the PCIe freq to around 104-106 MHz.

    The E2180 has a multiplier of 10x so to reach 2.7 GHz you would just need to increase your FSB to around 270 MHz.

    Start with setting all the voltages to a setting like "normal" or "default" lower your memory multiplier to the lowest available to avoid running it out of specs. (Ofcourse you can OC your memory, too. But when working on one part try to avoid having other unnecessary points of failure)

    Start with something like 2.5 GHz and work your way up from there. That speed should be stable with stock voltage.
    Don't forget to test for stability.
    Once you encounter uncomfortable temperatures, a increase in voltage needed for rather low speed gains or just satisfied you're done.

    And there will be a point where even a small increase of speed will need alot of voltage increase. I'll give an example from my E8400:
    3.6 GHz runs with 1.224v
    3.96 GHz ned 1.312v (Thats 88mv more for 360 MHz or 0.24 mV per MHz)
    4.14 GHz with 1.344v (32 mV for 180 MHz or 0.17 mV per MHz)
    4.2 GHz with 1.376v (32 mv for 60 MHz or 0.53 mV per MHz)
    4.3 GHz wasn't stable even with 1.44v (around 1.56 mv per MHz)

    So clearly somewhere around 4.1-4.2 GHz is the limit at which the chip need alot more power just for tiny changes in clockspeed and 4.3 is unreachable with normal means if the chip has to sustain that load for some time.

    With an E2180 overclocking to around 3.0 to 3.2 GHz with air cooling is usually not an issue, a proper cooler and power delivery on the motherboard assumed.
