Games locked at 60 FPS in full screen mode.

Every time I play a game in full screen mode, its stuck at 60 FPS but when in windowed, its at around the 800-1000 range. I do have V-Sync off and also the Xbox's App DVR settings off. I have a GTX 1070.

What kind of games are you playing? Also... have you tried re-installing your drivers?

Tested it on Garry's Mod and also Minecraft. Both locked at 60 when in full screen. Reinstalled drivers two days ago.
  3. You have v-sync off in the game, but do you have it off in Nvidia Control Panel ?

check if V-sync is on in theNvidia control panel and try to roll back to an earlier version of the drivers see if that helps

I have it turned off but I'll try to go back to earlier versions and see if that will fix it.

Checked the GeForce Experience App and it said I had an update since the 23rd. It uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled the new version. Full screen seems to not be restricted to 60 fps now but there is a bit of screen tearing. I thought G-Sync was supposed to fix this (new to G-Sync)?

What monitor do you have? G-sync *can* give you a bit of screen tearing with Vsync off try to play with both turning them on or off see if that hanges anything

It's a laptop with a screen of 60hz. I tried it with Vsync and it stopped the tearing but lowered FPS. I think its worth it though since I can change the max to around 100 without tearing. Thanks!
