Asus Strix GTX 970 suddenly stopped working

My gtx970 suddenly stopped working. I have no display and it shows no signal in my monitor. I tried using different ports and cables and the same issue.

In addition, when I checked on my bios, it wasn't detecting my GPU. My bios are updated and was even working after the update. Funny thing is, when I try to unplug the 8pin power to my GPU, it would appear on my screen "POWER DOWN...Plug power to graphics card" or something like that.

My PSU isn't the problem (RM-1000). I tried to plug it to the other PCIE port and same issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  1. Hi,

List of fixs that may work:
First try to boot on safe mode.
Try to enable onboard gpu and plug your monitor cable to the motherboard.
Put your gpu in another pci slot
Check if the gpu ´s fan is running.

Onboard GPU is enabled and I'm currently using it. The 970 is currently on the 2nd slot and fans are running, same as when I put it on the 1st slot. I also used 3dguru's DDU to remove any conflicting drivers.
