Is My PSU Powerful Enough?

Specs:
CPU: FX-8350
Graphics card: MSI RX 480 4 GB
HDD: SATA 7200 Rpm 1 TB
Optical Drive: CD-ROM Drive
RAM: 1 x 8 GB DDR3
PSU: Coolermaster 475 Watts

  1. Would need the exact model to confirm but it is likely one of CMs lower quality units and not going to have a strong enough 12v rail to reliably power the system.
  2. It will work just fine. If it doesn't work you can replace it anyway, but I'd be very surprised if it didn't work.

    If it's this unit then there is a good chance it wont work properly and can even have potential catastrophic consequences.

    This is why I asked for the model. But there is a good chance it's one of Cooler Masters poor quality units.
  4. Sorry, for some reason I was thinking of corsair cx series. Nope, this PSU is quite dangerous, and will most likely somewhat work, but the 12 voltage drops will probably cause instability if it uses more then 360w.
