Can AMD Apu run with an Additional Graphics Card?

So I'm planning on building a Budget but More than Powerful Enough PC to especially play League of Legends.

My main question is:
Can AMD A6 5400 Dual Core 3.6GHz manage League with very High Frame rates seeing the recommended is 2 GHz+ (2.4 GHz)?
(Ik my question may seem dull but I still want someone to confirm, cause Ik it's an APu not Cpu...)

So my next question is can I have an additional Graphics Card let's say Geforce 8800?

  1. League of Legends is not very demanding but that APU is not really suited for gaming. I've seen people run LoL very well with 8800 videocards though, so I think that's your best option. That's assuming you named the 8800 because it's what you can get cheap.
  2. Actually I'm planning on getting Geforce 750 Ti, I only used 8800 as base reference

an apu is exactly a cpu + gpu

and yes, you can buy a dedicated gpu and use the apu as a cpu only

if your power supply is good enough to power it and your case can fit it
