Why does my PC get such low FPS in BF1?

So basically I just bought BF1 for my PC, and on campaign in runs on Ultra with no problem, but on multiplayer I can barely run it at medium settings. I watched youtube videos prior to buying the game and people with nearly the same build were getting much better FPS than me in multiplayer. After some research, I found that it may be because I only have one stick of 8gb ram, but overall I am not 100% sure. If anyone would be able to tell me whats going on, please let me know. here are my specs, thank you.

  1. Considering minimum specs are an i5 6600k I'd imagine your CPU isn't enough to handle the tasks joining mp puts on it.
  2. your question is funny
its like you asked ..why mar car can not pull a full loaded trailer ? i have 49cc 1 cyl engine..
  3. Battlefield 1 multiplayer is definitely CPU bound.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mkYag8wfMMI&t=162s Don't doubt the 6100. Only if others understood how good it actually is, but instead they just see "i3" and "Dual-core" and instantly think it's shit xD gotta love the internet!

Actually, you're wrong. Do a little research on the 6100, and it's performance. I'll help you get started

The i3-6100 is a very capable CPU however that video proves nothing, that could easily be a i5 or even a i7. The reason I know this is that some overlays will only show the CPU cores and not the extra threads. I've seen way too many youtube videos claiming these high settings/FPS on lower end systems and when ppl go out and buy the game while having matching hardware there getting nowhere near those settings/FPS. Unless the overlay actually shows the hardware I wouldn't trust most of those videos.

As a side note BF1 multiplayer does favor i7's and actually does utilize the extra hyper-threading (noticed this in beta) but hopefully this will be fixed with upcoming patches/updates. Also every single BF game I've played has always had a rough start with multiplayer and is plagued with performance issues.
