inno gtx 1070 x4 VS zotac gtx 1070 amp extreme

inno gtx 1070 x4 or zotac gtx 1070 amp extreme

What will be better?
What about the components on inno?
Inno have small fan and in the future it will be noisy, yeah?
But inno has a better cooling of the power components

it's difficult decision for me..

The Inno3d iChill x4 is one of the best cards Out there.
The additonal Fan doesn't spin too fast and doesn't add much noise.
It's solidly build and runs very cool. One of the best cooled cards out there.

The Zotac on the other hand is the fastest 1070 by default, beating the iChill by 3-5 fps out of the box.

I'd go with what's cheaper and better fits your computer's looks (if that's a factor)

    Both are great cards.
  2. I have the ZOTAC myself. Lovely card that both looks good and as Isokolon said is one of the most powerful stock 1070 cards out there from the box. Also, I love the looks of the Zotac card myself too! The bold lines on the back look great.

Tbh though either card would be just as suitable as the other really. Just go for whichever ticks more boxes for you. I.E. Price Vs Looks Vs Stock Speeds.
  3. The Zotac is better built imo, and I believe has a much better PCB.
The Palit Gamerock is also fantastic, and is actually quite cheap, but it is only in the Asian/European market?

not so sure about the PCB, do you have a link with further information about that? really curious.

in the US (and parts of Europe) they sell the Palit Gamerock as Gainward Phoenix
  5. More power phases and better chokes pretty sure, can't be bothered to look it up. :P
  6. Inno have original PCB based on foundation edition, also less power phases than Zotac
  7. You sure? they advertise a "custom PCB'" for the iChill x4 & x3
Might be the original on the x2 though.

Concerning the phases, the Zotac also draws a lot more power and need 2x8Pin connectors while the inno uses 1x8pin + 1x6Pin
Furthermore the Zotac has a Powertarget of 270W(!) While the inno has a Powertarget of 210W
This might factor into the decision depending on the PSU used
  8. Remember that's TDP, not the amount of power it'll necessarily draw. :P

yes, but it's the power it can draw. not necessarily.
the ZOTAC Amp Extreme usually draws a bit more. Zotac cards aren't known for their humble power draw, but that's also not why one buys a card like that...
  10. Yep, overclocks for days!
    Great card though.
Zotac is pretty much balls out when it comes to high end cards. They don't care how big the card is, if it performs it'll sell.
