Need major help building first gaming PC!!

So I've recently saved up some money to upgrade from my not so great laptop, to an actual gaming PC. I know that building your own is much better for price and I've decided to give it a shot, problem is, I'm hopeless with hardware. All these video cards, and SSD's and whatnot confuse me. I just want a solid build that can run games pretty well at a good frame-rate. The price range is about 2000-2500.

P.S I do live in Australia, so I'd kinda prefer not to have to transport things from America on account of the whole paying much more.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks heaps <3

I'm assuming you need a full set gaming PC, rather than tower only. Well, here's a part list.

    CPU - Intel Core i7-6700K

    FAN - CM Hyper D92

    MOBO - MSI Z170-A PRO

    GPU - MSI GTX 1080

RAM - Kingston HyperX FURY 8GB

    SSD - Samsung 850 EVO 250GB

    HDD - Seagate 1 TB

    CASE - Corsair Carbide 200R

PSU - EVGA SuperNOVA GQ 650W

    MONITOR - AOC M2870VHE 28″

    SPEAKERS - Audioengine A2+

    MOUSE - Razer Mamba (2015)

KEYBOARD - Corsair Strafe Mechanical Gaming Keyboard(almost missed that one)

And an Operating System. I recommend getting Windows 10 Pro so you can turn off automatic updates but if it's going over your budget, get Windows 7 instead.

I tried to find links on Amazon Australia but for some reason, didn't ANY of the parts so you'll have to check locally. I probably, probably think this will over your budget since prices will differ from America and Australia but if that's the case, feel free to inform and we'll try to recommend some other parts.

Fear not, this PC is an absolute monster, you can do VR Gaming with this setup.
  2. I've decided to follow your list, so thank you heaps!
Although one small problem, I was wondering if you could recommend a different PSU as the one you said has been discontinued at the place where I am buying all the other pieces of equipment. Thanks again in advance
  3. Here's a couple more:

    EVGA SuperNOVA 750 P2

    Corsair AX760

    XFX TS 750

    SeaSonic M12II 620
