MOBO doesn't POST, nothing on screen and can't get to BIOS

I was having issues a while ago from my custom built PC where it was just power cycling on and off and I tried different RAM, took out the GPU and took out the HDD. I was able to get it to stop power cycling but then I started getting A2 error codes on the MOBO LED status indicator and nothing would show up on the screen but I could see the monitor and my keyboard drawing power.

Anyways the last thing I had thought the issue being was the motherboard. I ordered a brand new motherboard and still was having the same exact issues. The only thing I haven't tried changing was the CPU. Does this sound like a CPU problem though? I've looked up A2 on an MSI motherboard and it says that it is an IDE error but I don't even have any HDD plugged in.

It's been broken for about a month and a half now and I am losing all hope. Any ideas.

If it matters here are my specs:

CPU - i7-6700k
RAM - 2 x 8GB G.Skill Ripjaw V series DDR4
Motherboard - MSI Z170a Titanium Edition X Power
GPU - MSI GTX 1080
HDD - 3 x 500 GB Samsung 850 Evo Pro SSD

  1. unplug all your drives from the motherboard and see if you can boot into BIOS.
