I've overclocked before but this is a stumper...

Hello Everyone! I'm trying to overclock my AMD 8350. It's not listed in my specs, but I also have a Hyper 212 Evo cooler. Typically I've tested settings in AMD Overdrive and then adjusted in the bios once I've found a good setup. Today I was unable to get anything to work. I started with a basic 4.2 and everything went down. My video driver crashed and, when the display wasn't flickering, it would just throw me back to the lock screen. I upped the voltage to see if that would help and it didn't. I did an "autotune" and the software was able to push to a 4.4 at 1.4 volts (stock is 1.3), but when I hit the "apply settings" button it went back to the flickering. I went back to manual, increasing voltage, lowering the HT, etc but nothing worked. I've never had this kind of issue and I've even overclocked this system before. Any ideas?

OCZ hasn't been in the PSU market for many years. Likely the dielectric in the capacitors is worn out, meaning it can no longer effectively filter ripple.

    Replace PSU.
