WD portable 2.5" hdd

Does any body know the purpose and pinout labeling of the 12 pins in a 2x6 formation located adjacent to the USB3 connector on the disk circuit board?
These are only accessible if the drive is removed from its case.
I am guessing that they are intended for setting up the drive and possible SATA connection.
Can anyone confirm this?

    Hi there hyweldavies,

It could really vary depending on the drive. Sometimes, it is a jumper block to set settings and sometimes it is used by manufacturing for internal purposes.
