Gtx 750ti 4gb windforce 2

Hi everyone just wondering if some one could help me out please? I have a
WINpower ad-e500ae-a5/a6 PSU

Just wondering if I used a 2 molex to pcie converter to plug it into the gtx 750ti would it be okay?

I am worried because I've read a gtx 750ti needs a minimum of 20 amps so the fact that my psu has 2 molex connectors putting out 14 amps each would that work okay?

Thanks Kyle.

  2. It would work- 750Ti uses ~60W, which is 5A x 12V, with spikes maybe to 10A, and no more. That PSU, however, is not the most reliable.
  3. Thank you, so it would be okay to run the adapter for now until I purchase a recommended psu?
  4. I would run it. For a PC that is not powerful, and is used just for gaming- risk is small.

I vote "no". That PSU should be replaced ASAP and regardless of the GPU.
  6. Thanks for all the help!!
