  1. HD are already cheap, they are commodity items... buying used? good luck with that.

What do you mean by refurbished? is that like used or new or something?? And my budget will be around £50
  3. Also is there a specific one for gaming and office work or is any hdd fine?

You wont need anything more than just a WD Blue 1TB Hard Drive:

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/Blue-Desktop-Hard-Disk-Drive/dp/B0088PUEPK

Something like this will do, and if you prefer a different website, they will all be similar prices.

I highly doubt that it wouldn't fit. Basically every case in existance can fit at least 1 HDD.

Can you tell me your case so I can ensure that it is, and assist you in where to place it?

Don't laugh lol , but because this is my first pc build and i'm very budgeted (if that's a word) I didn't want to get with one of them super fancy cases soi bought this simple case http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/182108541737?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT BUT there is no pci-e express cable so im going to have to buy this case http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CiT-1017-Black-Mesh-Midi-ATX-PC-Gaming-Case-Blue-120mm-LED-Fan-with-500W-PSU-/221714361569?hash=item339f34ace1:g:r4YAAOSwv0tVAsHy ... I know this is quite confusing.

Not gonna laugh, my first case was cheaper

Anyway, the HDD would be installed in the front of the case, on the lower half (Ish), and regards to the PCI-E Cable, it'll come with your PSU, and you could just upgrade that rather than the entire case. Although it would be easier to get a case where the PSU is at the bottom, but that is entirely up to you.
