Can a ddr3 gpu run on ddr2 motherboard

Hey guys i want to purchase a ddr3 gpu but i have ddr2 motherboard i want to if i m able to run that gpu on my motherboard or not or it will dont fit on my motherboard

  2. the motherboard being ddr2 is refering to the actual computer memory itself not the graphics card memory. So yes a ddr3 video card will work as long as the motherboard has whatever agp/pci/pcie slot the video has to have to plug into.

    Your issue is that the system looks to have a 180 watt power supply, that is only enough to power very low end video cards.

    The Radeon R7 240 may be OK. Your CPU would likely be too slow to keep up with the better cards anyway.
