AHCI mode set in BIOS but showing up as IDE?

Motherboard : Asus z170s Sabertooth
CPU: i5 6600k
SSD: Samsung Pro 256GB
BIOS ver: 2202 (up to date)

Finished new build today with a fresh install of Windows 10 64bit. After installing and running Samsung Magician I came to realize AHCI is deactivated and is set as IDE or RAID. There is no option to change the SATA mode to IDE in this BIOS, only AHCI is available and that is the mode I'm currently in.

What's going on guys? Any help or comments will be much appreciated, thank you.

    Welcome To Tom's Hardware, @lovejj!

I'd recommend you check your motherboard manufacturer's official website for any SATA controller & Chipset driver updates. Make sure you got those manually installed from there. If the issue is still present, maybe you should also try resetting BIOS. Just keep in mind that it would get your settings back to factory defaults, so you will need to re-configure them.
I'd also strongly recommend checking the connections inside your PC again and make sure that the SSD is plugged to a SATA III (6 Gb/s) port.
If everything fails to make the SSD properly recognized by the brand-specific software, I'd advise you to re-install it.

Hope this helps you. Let me know how it goes! :)
  2. How about AHCI drivers, are they installed ?
You can also check if Trim is enabled.
In Command prompt punch in fsutil behavior query DisableDeleteNotify
    Results could be:
DisableDeleteNotify = 0 : TRIM is already enabled and working in Windows
DisableDeleteNotify = 1 : TRIM is not enabled
