Possible Dead Motherboard

Last night I was just watching a video when my screen went blank and all of my fans (including gpu) all went to max speed. I have changed the PSU changed ram cleared CMOS. The cpu doesn't get hot at all with the heatsink off and idling. Do I have a dead mobo or cpu?

More about dead motherboard
  1. remove the ram and boot the system, the motherboard should tell you off in the form of beep codes. make sure the speaker is connected to the front panel connector on the motherboard. if you cannot force a beep code by removing the ram, experience tells me the motherboard is toast.
  2. I do not have an on board speaker

do you have a speaker, from a stereo, anything?
the speaker is part of the onboard diagnostics.

I used a speaker* and a spdif cable from a cd rom** to fashion a diagnostic speaker for my nephews computer.
