Monitor showing no signal on installing new graphic card

I know this is a old and very common problem and i had gone through many posts, but still i m unable to fix this issue
HOPE ANYONE CAN SAVE MY PENNY!!
my pc specs
Ecs elitegroup h61h2-m2 mobo
Bios American megatrends
I3-2100 3.1 ghz
Integrated intel 2000 graphics
6gb ddr3 1600mhz
Pcie 2.0 ×16 only one slot
Corsair vs550
Windows 8.1
AND THIS IS MY FIRST GPU RX460

I started with plugging the 6pin pci-e and plugged into pci ×16 then connected the dvi cable on both ends

On powering i can see working led light and fans but my monitor show no signal

When i unplugged the dvi and plugged the vga onboard still no signal
(Then i just removed the six pin connector) this time i was able to access my pc
But coz of disconnecting the 6pin , the gpus fan isnt rotating, just blue led light was on. And also my pc didnt detected any new hardware

Thats all i can describe
Pls help me if anyone successfully gone through all this
Thanks

It's likely you need to update your mobo BIOS for it to recognize your new video card.

Install the new BIOS update using your integrated graphics first without the RX-460 in your pc. After the new BIOS version is properly installed turn off the pc and try again booting with your RX-460 with all its power connectors plugged in.
  2. @radikal
I dont know how to do that
I have tried eblu update utility
But my current bios ver. Is pretty old and do not support that utility.
My current american megatrends version is 2.11.1210
  3. In your mobo's website there should be another method to update your BIOS, most likely to download the BIOS file, copy it into a pendrive and boot your pc with it. Every manufacturer has developed different procedures so you'll have to look in your mobo's website the instructions to do that "older" method so you can apply it on your current mobo.
  4. Okh finally i solved all the problems
There were too many problems which took me reading too many posts
    What i got through is
8.1s secure boot settings was causing the problem, but the settings werent available on that bios
So i tried to update bios but again failed
I had to install win 7 than successfully updated my bios
Than again i install 8.1 there i turn the secure boot disabled
Wooh!! This time windows successfully boot with the gpu -no screen problem solved-
This wasnt the end of my misery's
    No sound. **ck!!!!
Again switch to vga onboard and install the necessary audio drivers than again switch back to dvi -sound problem solved-
When i tried to play any game i got like xinput.dll missing
I say wtf!!! I got my gpu fixed still i cant play graphic games
Then again some posts blah blah
Directx was missing. Lol -problem fixed-
Then what i noticed is gpu fans arent rotating, what i came to know is those fans only runs when they exceeds 50° or while gaming.
    ----aahh!!!!!! Not anymore problems pls----
Hope this is the end / not of my gpu /
  5. I blame your Win 8.1 for all of that :p

    Good you got it working.
  6. Ya now i am one of those who says win 8 is sh*tt

Now i have experienced further two more things

After shutdown my gpu's super quiet fan spinn at very high speed for like 5 sec , -maybe to blow away the heat-

But i cant figure out why my system re-start while playing gta 5
  7. Never had one of those silent fan cards so im not sure, but when you shutdown all the controllers no longer work so it make sense the fans go up at full speed on those last seconds. This is something you'll have to wait the answer from another one who owns that video card.

If it restarts itself only with GTA and none other game then its a software issue, either corrupted game or some specific bug for that game in your video drivers.
  8. How did you update your bios? My bios me ver. is 7.0.4.1197, so i went to the ecs website and told me to go the link where you will use the cpu evo. I cant find my M/P PCB version there, they are all 2012, mine is 12/07/2011. Please help
