my computer will not start up after installing new RAM

My computer will not start up when I install my new RAM. when I press the power It beeps, the GPU and fans start spinning, for a second then they shut down for 5 seconds then they power back up for a second then shut off for 5 more seconds. This cycle continues until I remove the power cord.

I did a full CMOS battery reset (removed machine from power, removed CMOS battery (2 min), Hit the power button, installed new RAM, Put the CMOS battery back in, powered up) but this didn't seem to help.

  1. Are you trying the Fury by themselves or trying to mix with old? Do you have the latest BIOS? Will prob need it, and even then may be problematic, the Fury operate off PnP - which whould be supported by your mobo, but many of the Z68 mobos didn't really get the BIOS support updates they should have gotten as it was a short lived and not well received chipset

I am using them by themselves. And I flashed the latest BIOS - f8. Unless you have any other ideas it sounds like I need new RAM...
  3. Might be they never got the changes in the BIOS to support PnP - have seen a few Z68 mobos that don't
  4. well at this point, I cant decide if i should try dealing with a return policy or just get a new mobos... any suggestions?
