PC Newbie looking for some help with his build!

Hello everyone!

I am going to get my first gaming build from low budget( around £300) next week, but I just wanted to make sure everything is compatible and will be working fine and once I get all the parts all I have to do is put it together, install the OS and get the drivers.

Here is my build: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/snwD2R

It gives me a compatibilty error: "Thermaltake Commander MS/I Snow Edition (White/Black) ATX Mid Tower Case has front panel USB 3.0 ports, but the ASRock H81M-DGS Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard does not have onboard USB 3.0 headers."

I couldn't find a motherboard & case combination that is compatible unfortunately, so I thought I will ask for expert's help because I am not even sure if this is a critical error.

The build would mostly be for League of Legends and a few newer games such as Outlast, The darkness 2, maybe GTA 4, but mostly League.
Sorry if I post this twice, I believe the other one was in the wrong category.

  1. There is a wrong info in PCPartPicker, and a -big- error from TT.

The USB 3.0 header in the front of the case isn't go connected to the motherboard, it haves a USB conection (yes, crappy). You need to take the cable off the case and plug it in the back panel from the motherboard.

Short Answer: Ignore it, its a wrong data from PCPartPicker.

Source: me & my current build using black TT Comander MS I.

Thanks! One more question to keep you entertained: So everything is fine and if I buy these parts I can put it together and everything is up and ready(apart from os and drivers)?
  3. The only thing i would re-check is which BIOS have installed the motherboard if it is equal of higher than P1.30 version. After that, if should work fine.

Hey! As I said I am a big beginner in these stuff. I have found this, not sure if you were asking about this since I didn't really understand your answer.

    BIOS Type:AMI
BIOS Features:Multilingual BIOS, SMBIOS 2.3.1. support, ACPI 1.1 support, UEFI BIOS

Also I just randomly selected a motherboard so if you have any better suggestion I am happy to use that instead.
  5. Nervermind, just ask seller if it comes with the latest BIOS update or if that bios can support the Celeron, after that, you're fine.

    Hey!
Thanks for the answers. I've changed the motherboard, now it says everything is compatible.
