Intel dh77kc motherboard and Amd R7 360 (oc gigabyte varriant)

Are the board and the gpu compatible?
If yes why won't the monitor display anything when i connect it through the gpu (while the gpu is plugged in to a 600w psu) when i connect the monitor to the mobo everything works fine but when i connect it through the gpu nothing happens the fans on the gpu spin even the computers seems to boot up but nothing happens on the monitor 'black screen'

  1. Have you had it connected to mobo, and gone into BIOS to set primary video to PCI-E/PEG? and then tried the video card?

when i have the graphic card pluged in and powered up and i try to connect the monitor to the mobo nothing happens implying that the integrated are automaticaaly turned off.
