core i5 3550 that goes from 3.3 to 3.7ghz and mine in going up to 4.1ghz

Hello guys , i have a question,i just bought a core i5 3550 that goes from 3.3 to 3.7ghz and mine in going up to 4.1ghz on its own, (it shows in task manager windows 8.1)
i've loaded optimized defaults settings in my bios,
my mobo is a Gigabyte B75M-D3H,
and i have installed 16gb or ram (4 x kingston hyperx blue 4gb 1600 mhz)
is it normal or is something fishy with my config?
should i get worried?
please help

  1. sorry guys, i have foun why it was showing 4.1 ghz in task manager
task manager has some bugs when showing the corect cpu frequencies,
i've tested it with cpu-z and it's all fine :D

BIOS may need to be reset, however with certain motherboards the i5 3550 can overclock past the 3.7GHz limit, such as mine up to 3.9GHz (or 4GHz with a little BCLK tweaking).
