My PC keeps Crashing on all games without an error message to desktop

My PC keeps Crashing on all games without an error message to desktop. It never freezes, never go on blue screen, just occasionally crashes to desktop while I'm playing DS3, Dota2 and Witcher III, League of Legends.
I tried Win7/Win8/Win10, it's the same story again.

Parts: i5-6600, GTX960 4GB, 8GB DDR4 RAM GSKILL, H180 Motherboard D3H, PSU MATRIX 800W

I uninstalled all my drivers and reinstalled the latest, still crashing.
I can copy Event logs during crashes it might help.

I really don't know what to do, I am asking for a solution...
I hope this info helps.

UPDATE: Checked GPU temp, it seems fine around 52-55 Celsius Degrees during gaming. Even tried to Underclock by -90 (maximum), yet still crashing.

  1. I was just trying to think what else could cause this (assuming the binaries are ok)
and it would be sound devices that conflict on your machine.
you would want to update all of your sound drivers (mostly the motherboard sound driver) or disable sound drivers in your system that you do not use. (windows device manager in control panel)
then reboot and go into BIOS, make any change and change it back and save the changes. It will force the BIOS to rescan the hardware and reassign hardware resources and rebuild the database of settings it sends to windows.

see if that helps. On my system I turn off the graphics card high definition sound driver since I do not have sound support inside my monitor, I use the motherboard sound. I also figure it takes the load off of my GPU.

many sound drivers were updated right after windows 10 shipped, they had conflicts and needed to be updated from the motherboards website.

error code 0xc000001d Illegal Instruction An attempt was made to execute an illegal instruction.
error code 0xc0000005 The instruction at 0x%p referenced memory at 0x%p. The memory could not be %s.
error code 0xc0000374 - A heap has been corrupted.

I would expect that the heap corruption is the cause of the other two errors.

I would be looking at updating your network drivers as the next attempt at a fix.
(i assume you already updated the app)

I would also make sure your BIOS is up to date in order to get memory timing fixes.

I would update the window 10 drivers for the motherboard as well.
    http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=5491#dl
(it has a updated motherboard ethernet driver)

if you are using a wireless ethernet or bluetooth wireless device you would want to update them as well.

I mention the ethernet driver mainly because they can really mess up any streaming software and virus scanners.

I got H170 D3H motherboard, is these drivers I should download?
  3. yep, check your BIOS version also, sata and USB driver updates sometimes require the BIOS to be updated also.
more current network drivers can come directly from the chip vendor, but start with the ones from the motherboard vendor.
do you have any add on ethernet card? if so you will want to get a driver update for that also.

  6. I reinstalled all drivers from the motherboard, still crashes. I'm not sure about the BIOS, can you tell me what to install (Links) and how?
I'd like to try, but don't know how.

not sure but from the (Present: false )is this device disable in bios or not the correct driver? or is it old version of a audio service that was left running?

I uninstalled the old audio drivers and restarted the pc. After restart the pc showed that it hasn't got an audio driver, so I downloaded it from gigabyte motherboard audio driver (the latest one) and fresh installed it. After that I received crashes again. I unplugged my pc and changed the RAM slot from one to the other (bcs my motherboard has 4, I am only using 1 8GB). It was better, I didn't received a crash whole night yesterday, yet today the same story, whenever i play game occasionally it crashes to desktop. But I must admit it crashes less than it used to be. Still, it's not the solution.
  10. I am not aware of the bios, cause I don't know anything about it. Don't know how to update, don't know how to check... The bios is a dangerous place for me.

none of the error reported would indicate bad physical RAM. they indicate that the data stored in the ram is incorrect most likely because of a bug in some user mode program.

if you suspect bad ram, you boot and run memtest86 to confirm your machines memory and bios timings are ok.
then you turn off all overclocking in BIOS and windows and see if your programs work.

you might even look for special patches to your graphics driver for your particular game.
    - sometimes games install different versions of the microsoft c runtime libraries and a old version might have bugs.
    - same goes with the directx install.

    --------------
go into windows control panel, device manager, find any high definition audio device that you are not using and disable it
I disable the gpu high definition audio driver because I don't have speakers in my monitor that are powered by the video cables. the updated mother board driver dated 2016/03/14 should be ok.

then go into BIOS and change any setting and change it back and save, this will force the bios to rescan the hardware and rebuild its database of settings it sends to windows.

this would most likely have no direct effect on the game, but can change the timing in the GPU so it does not have to process sound if you are not using it. (less work for the GPU)
