Should I switch my rig to intel?

hey!
I have an amd phenom ii x4 965 be and a r9 390x 8gb and my graphic card supports pretty much everything but my cpu is lacking of ''power'' also is overclocked to 4.0ghz
I am looking forward to battlefield 1 and Im afraid that maybe I cant run it. Also im thinking to buy an I7 5820 if I cant do that much with my phenom
Sorry for my english its not my native lenguage

btw: Quick question im going to nyc and I dont have a credit card so I cant buy online is there any good store?

  1. Jumping for atleast any i3 from 4th or 6th generation you will notice a HUGE improvement. About battlefield 1 there is not info. But bet you will require the CPU upgrade.

    PD: Phenom with R9 390X ?!?!?!? are u crazy!?!?

    Your definitely not getting the best performance out of your 390x with the Phenom. You really need an i5 or higher to get the most out of it.

    You're in luck for parts, though. NYC has a couple of Microcenters. They will have everything you need and they also have great prices.

    But also could you please give me a recommendation for a motherboard, Im looking forward for the 5820k but Im not that good with motherboards
  4. Not sure of your budget and needs, but the Asrock X99 Extreme 4 is a good midrange board and has good reviews. Make sure to ask for the bundle price if you're getting the CPU and motherboard together at Microcenter. You may have to wait and see what boards they have in stock.
