Newly built PC getting black screens while gaming leading to a freeze.

The issue:
While playing games (Has happened in Dark Souls 3 and Overwatch) I basically get black screens, sound plays for a little longer and then stops but the computer is still running normally but the only way to actually access anything again is doing a restart. The issue pops up litteraly any time, from the moment I log in the in-game world to 15 mins later, 1 hour, or it can even last 4 hours before locking up. This has happened to me in multiple areas in Dark Souls 3 and even in the Tutorial in Overwatch.

I can provide info on what I've done so far to try and fix it in vain.

My specs are:

OS: Win7 SP1, all updates installed.
MB: Gigabyte Z170-HD3P
CPU: Intel Core i5 6500 @ 3.2GHz
CPU COOLER: Coolermaster Hyper TX3 EVO
RAM: Corsair Venegeneace DDR4 LPX - 8GB (1 stick)
GPU: ASUS GTX970 STRIX
PSU: Be Quiet! Straight Power 10 - 80plus Gold - 600W
HD: Seagate Barracuda 3.5" @ 7200RPM - 1TB

1. Have ran all sorts of stress tests with no red flags, temperatures are fine. Prime95 runs my CPU to 68C unless a heavy stress, FurMark runs my GPU at around 73C but no game has managed temps that high on it yet except DkS3 which runs nearly 70-71C (and around 50C for the CPU). I've ran HCI MemTest 3 times already, one for an 100% test, one for over an hour and one for at least 8 hours while sleeping. No errors or artifacts or thermal problems on anything.

2. I have updated my BIOS, I made sure my graphics drivers are up to date (I re-downloaded, did a clean up with DDU and reinstalled for good measure).

3. I disabled onboard audio to make sure it didn't conflict my Nvidia's audio driver (cause I use an HDMI cable to tranfer both video and sound from the TV) but it didn't work, I went back to speakers and uninstalled Nvidia HD audio, didn't work, again I got a black screen, except unlike the first time the sound didn't go "BZZT" like you just forcibly pulled the plug (first time I tried speakers it went "bzzt" and cut off), the game sound went on for a split second before I heard an error popup sound and then no more sound, all this happens while the screen is black so I don't know what the pop up, if any, is. There was no error log on the Event Viewer though.

4. I tried putting the PC to sleep when it happened once, then power it up again to see if it would fix it, but it did not fix it, only a reboot via the Restart button would, or a complete power down and then boot up again. The PC DID go in sleep mode normaly though.

5. Here is a log I got from GPU-Z

6. I cleaned up my display drivers with DDU in safe mode, installed drivers provided by ASUS's site for my card (359.04 I think), the issue persisted so I reverted back to the latest drivers.

7. I'm getting messages about my computer running slow from Windows while in game too, just noticed after minimizing a game once. No idea why.

8. Ran MemTest86 via USB stick today, again, 0 errors on the memory on all 13 tests for multiple passes.

So far, the issue continues. ANY help is appreciated as I'm close to giving up on it and come to terms with the fact that my 980 euro PC will just not play the very games I built it to play.
