Average CPU Temp For An AMD 6300 With An H60...Safe or deadly?

I just installed the Corsair H60 watercooler AIO. I pulled up my 'core temp' app and it says each of my cores are running at an idle of 4 - 10celcius...BUT! the temp readings say that the Tj Max is 90Celcius. what the F is the Tj max?Is my processor doing great or is it about to blow?

  1. Tj Max is the temp where the CPU will start to throttle, realistically you will want to stay much lower then that, the recommended max temp for the cores is 62 degrees.

Really low idle temps like that are usual for an AMD CPU.

So, the core temp program is showing each cores temp in a little tray icon. Do I add all the cores temperatures up for the total CPU temperature or is there a nice neat program for reading my CPU temperature?

Also what defines CPU temperature? - Kinda like what I asked above. Do I add up the core temps or what?
  3. You don't add up the temps, each temp is for each CPU core.

I use AIDA64 to read both the CPU and the core temps.
The core temps are never accurate while the CPU is idling.

If you want a more precise way to monitor temps then use AMD Overdrive which will show thermal margins instead of temps.

TJmax: 90 means that the maximum temperature of any single core should not exceed 90. If all of your cores are running at, say, 40c, that's a very safe temperature. Even 60c is still comfortable for most AMD CPUs.
