  1. It would be the fastest CPU sold with that system. If you need more help, then provide the part number of your motherboard. In theory the chipset will support Core 2 Quad processors, but the VRM or the BIOS may not support them.

So, can i buy then a intel core 2 duo e8500 with the system?
  3. The BIOS probably supports it (the E8400 is older than the E7500), but I can't say for sure since you didn't tell us anything about the motherboard. A difference is the E8400 has a higher bus speed (1333 vs 1066). Why would you upgrade to a CPU that barely is faster (10-12%)? http://www.cpu-world.com/Compare/594/Intel_Core_2_Duo_E7500_vs_Intel_Core_2_Duo_E8500.html

Because, my e7500 is so old, i need a new one, i think, my 7500 is gonna die soon :(, and im using a Gtx 750 Ti, so i need a faster CPU with more GHZ
  5. The E8500 won't make a noticeable difference. Can you check what motherboard you have?

  7. would be Core 2 Quad Q9650 compare with my system?
  8. Why don't you remove the side panel and check the motherboard with your eyes? Software is totally useless if the model number isn't in the BIOS.

Yes for games that can use more than 2 cores, but does your motherboard support it?

    Hi, i think i have a Lenovo MT-M6081, does it support a Intel Core 2 Duo e8400 or e8500?
  11. I presume you installed an E7500; does it at full speed? I ask because it isn't on the CPU list at https://support.lenovo.com/ca/en/documents/migr-68650 Both the E8400 and E8500 are on the list.
