Ram not registering at 2400 even after enabling xmp

First off I'll gives specs:
-windows 10 pro

-ASUS Z87-K INTEL Z87 SATA 6 USB 3.0 CROSSFIREX LGA

-current 2 but later today 4 Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB 2x8GB DDR3 2400MHz PC3 19200

-Version 2.10.7208 BIOS

So the issue at hand is I don't really get how to get my Bios to recognize that my ram is actually 2400 MHz. I enabled Xmp profile 1 but don't know what settings to change in advanced. I put the dram frequency to 2400 but it doesn't change the ram speed on the main page (still says 1333mhz).

Cpu z though is returning these stats on the ram: 1199.8mhz.

What am I doing wrong? There is no xmp switch on the motherboard that I know of.

Thank you

If CPU-Z shows 1199.8 then your there at 2400 (+/-) this is DDR (DOUBLE data rate) so take true freq 1198 x 2 = 2400 effective ----- all is good
  2. Ah wonderful, thank you. I had been tinkering around with setting for ages seeing what to do. I wondered if that was the case.
  3. ;) Yep, you're good
