Hard drive making loud noise

When I play games and at random, my hard drive will be really loud and make a rattling noise. My HDD is a Seagate Barricuda 2TB. It's from a pre built machine I had and i changed all the parts and built in new case.

Here is the noise: https://soundcloud.com/lee-rogers-352669308/voice-0021

is that normal? I've had the drive for 3 years.

can be the hard drive bering has dried out and is wearing out. back your data up...run seagate fitness test called seatools and run hdtune look for any smart warnings. also see if the drive under warranty with seagate. google the model number see if there been any production issue with your drive. some of the older 7200... drives had bios issues.

ill respond with the results 2 min
  3. Also, ensure whatever mounting hardware for your HDD is doing it's job; tight, secure, in-place, etc. Might sound silly but something to check...
