Wifi card on new machine, will this work?

Hey y'all,

I have the parts for my new build coming in a few days, but unfortunately will be stuck without Ethernet for a few months. I am planning on getting a wifi card for one of the PCI-E slots on my motherboard, but I am unsure of the driver situation. I see that I will need to install a driver for the wifi card, is this something I can do with no internet connection? I will then need this internet connection in order to finish the windows download, I take it.

Any help in this scenario would be much appreciated, I am not sure what to do. Is installing the driver to a usb on another computer, and then transferring it a possibility? I'm not sure if I could access the usb from the mobo boot screen in order to get the drivers, to get wifi connectivity, to get windows fully installed.

Thanks for the help!

I don't have an optical disk drive in my build currently, is there any other way? I guess worst case I could build it and take it to a buddies house who has Ethernet, and do the setup there.

You just need to copy the driver off the CD, onto a USB.
Then do the install on your PC.

Sounds good, I think I'm starting to get a handle on things. Will I need to have an active internet connection in order to install windows 10 from an ISO located on a USB drive?
