XFX AMD 390 card crashes in almost every game

My system build:

CPU: AMD fx 8350 8-core at 4.0Ghz (base clock)

GPU: XFX AMD 390 8GB

RAM: 16GB @ 2100Mhz (2x 8GB)

MOBO: Asus M5A99X EVO R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard

PSU: Corsair RM 850W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular

Running windows 10 64-bit OS

The GPU is hooked up to my monitors via DVI connection.

Directx 12 is installed on my computer

I have the most recent drivers from AMD and I am using the new Crimson software

Okay, so the problem I am having is I have tried all sorts of different driver versions multiple times for my card and I have not been able to find anything that allows me to play graphically intense games such as GTA V and Witcher 3, but I am also experiencing crashes on Spore and even Runescape, which is very annoying. I feel as though I have tried everything and I have resorted to asking for any suggestions or solutions to my problem. Any advice is appreciated!

  1. Does this happen with your previous gfx card? Has this been an on-going problem, or something that just started when you changed cards?

I had an older NVIDIA card in it before i put this one in, but i did not have any trouble with it and I made sure to erase all of the previous drivers before installing the ones for this card. As for the on-going problem part, I did not have the games that are crashing now before, but RuneScape did not crash until i got the Crimson software for the card. I have never been able to play GTA V, Witcher 3, or Spore on this PC with good quality graphics for a long period of time without crashes. I did not have any of these games on this PC until a few months ago, (around Christmas time i got GTA), so I don't know if they would've worked before that. I did experience crashes on these games before I updated my drivers and software, though.
  3. Have you tried contacting XFX support to see if they know anything about your situation?

You might be experiencing some software conflicts. Conflicts that have gotten worse with the new card and its drivers. Try this...
Run CCleaner and do the Clean and Registry portions both to help get rid of software conflicts, registry errors, and other resource-wasting crap that can be causing issues. https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner
Then run Malwarebyres to get rid of any poorly written malware that may be clogging your system: https://www.malwarebytes.org/
Lastly, disable as much stuff that starts with Win as you can. Look in your tray for apps that you can disable and run on an as-need basis only.

If the above doesn't help, you might want to try cleaning the system of any and all gfx driver remnants left behind by the uninstall pgms. Run DDU from safe mode and have it remove all traces of Nvidia and AMD drivers it can find. Boot to Win and install the latest driver for your card and OS. http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/display_driver_uninstaller.html
