What should i upgrade in my gaming PC first?

Hey,

I bought my gaming PC from cyberpowerpc a few years ago. It is now starting to have some trouble with the top end games and i would like to know what improvements i should make? Also I was wondering if instead of buying a high end graphics card, should I just buy another AMD RADEON 7870 2GB DDR5 and run them together?

My PC is as follows-
Case- COOLERMASTER HAF XB GAMING CASE
CPU- INTEL I7-4770K 3.5 GHZ 8M LGA1150
- 64GB SANDISK SATA III 6.0Gb/s SSD
RAM- 2x CORSAIR VENGEANCE 4 GB 2133 MHZ DUAL CHANN
Motherboard- GIGABYTE GA-Z87X-D3H INTEL Z87 CORSSFIREX/SLI SATA 6
Powersupply- XTREMEGEAR 800 WATT 80 PLUS POWER SUPPLY
Graphics- AMD RADEON 7870 2GB DDR5

-Thanks!

First get a better quality PSU, tier 1 or 2. http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html
Then upgrade the ram to at least 8gb. 4gb simply is not enough anymore. Then I would get a better single GPU.
  2. I recently upgraded a machine much older than yours from 4GB Ram to 8GB and immediately saw huge gains in many games.

sorry i forgot to mention i have 8gb of ram.
  4. PSU & GPU upgrade would bring that system up to date, performance just depends how much you want to spend

Ok thanks! Just curious how can you tell that power supply isn't any good? So I know what I'm looking for and what not to get

Its not that you can tell if its good or not....Some brands are more reliable than other for sure.

They also have a classification of 80+ broze, silver and gold. Try to go for the gold one. Its simply better.
  8. Gold does not simply mean better. There are Raidmax gold rated units, that I wouldn't put in any system. Stick to the tier 1 and tier 2 units, and you should be fine.
