It's for the wifi not an SSD

    1 x M.2 Socket 1 connector for the wireless communication module (M2_WIFI)

It's probably at the back there where those connectors are for the wifi

The ASUS Z170I PRO GAMING has M2, is ITX and has wireless as well

Thank you for the answer .
I checked Asus Website and the picture shows that the M2 connector on the back of the board (I hope I got the picture right) , wont it overheat there?
  3. Dont think so because it'll be on the other side of the case when you install it. There's nothing there. If the cover for the other side leaves a bit of space, it shouldnt be a prob

I've got a case here where you can mount an ssd on the other side. Works fine being there
