Samsung SSD 950 PRO M.2 NVMe Specifications

Does anyone know the difference between these two: MZ-V5P512BW vs MZ-VKV512? I tried going to Samsung's website, but it is not clear to me -- if one is newer version of the same (are protocol versions the same?), then which one is the newer [better] one? Just to be clear this should be the PCIe Gen3 x4 SSD that fits into M.2 slot on motherboard. Thanks!

I looked at the retail box my 950 Pro 512GB came in.

On the sticker that includes the serial number it had this:
    Model: MZ-VKV512
    Model Code: V5P512BW

So, there is only one version of the drive.

I did finally get a reply from Samsung support:

    "Reference Number: xxxxxxxxxxxx

We have reviewed the case with careful analysis and confirmed that both SSD model: MZ-V5P512BW and MZ-VKV512 are the same. The one is referring to the Model name and the other one is the actual model code, Therefore, both of them are the same.
